Who are Instagramers?

Instagramers, also called Igers, is the greatest international community of mobile photographers and Instagram. Phil Gonzalez is a founder of Igers Community. First local group was created in Barcelona in 2010. There are over 500 local, regional and national Igers Communities in over 80 countries.

Members of communities use specific hashtags to tag posts on Instagram. So remember, add #igersnameofthecity in your description next time you publish on Instagram.

Igers groups creators and managers promote the best mobile photographers, organise exhibitions and events, Instameets, PhotoWalks, contests.

Igers Groups in Poland

The first Polish Igers group was created by Jaroslaw Marciuk in Gdansk in 2011. There are over 20 communities in Poland today. Members of meet in regular basis, organise Instameets, Worlwide Instameets (WWIM), exhibitions and many other events.

When traveling to Poland follow @IgersPoland and find a local group in your final destination. Share photos from Poland with us and our communities. Remember to write hashtags in description of your Instagram posts – #igersnameofcityyouvisit and #igerspoland.

Photo of the day / week

Promoting the best photos by admins of the group chosen from posts posted on Instagram tagged with the hashtag of the community.

Instameet / Photowalk

A shared walk along the selected route combined with taking photos. We visit interesting or inaccessible places. We share experiences and after a walk, we meet in a pub.

A system for tagging photos and videos on Instagram. Each community has its own hashtag starting with #igers.

Challenges

Communities admins encourage you to publish photos on Instagram with specific topics. Take part and make the best photo!

WWIM

WWIM is a special Instameet organized twice a year by local groups around the world. Spring and autumn edition. It is a great celebration of the whole community.
